On Friday, 30 May 2014 in Lateef Okedeyi & 13 Ors v. Governor of Lagos State & Anor. reported in (2014) All FWLR (Pt. 734) 150, 183, 191 – 192, the Court of Appeal praised the legal advocacy skill of Taiwo Kupolati in these words: OSEJI JCA at page 183
I however commend the intellectual input of learned counsel for the parties, particularly Taiwo Kupolati Esq., in their legal submissions and postulations which will no doubt enrich the jurisprudence of our legal system and oil the wheels of our nascent constitutional democracy.”
IKYEGH JCA at pages 191 – 192
Accordingly, I agree with the skillful argument of Mr. Kupolati, for the appellants, that creative interpretation (but within the four walls of the letter and spirit of the relevant provisions of the Constitution) should be the canon of interpretation of the provisions of the Constitution … I commend the industry and brilliance put by Mr. Kupolati of learned counsel for the appellants in the well prepared appellants’ brief which I found refreshing/illuminating in the course of this discourse.”
